Edna Brevard Davidson Alexander, 86, of Dellinger Dr., Davidson, NC, passed away Monday, December 3, at Atrium Heath – NorthEast. She was born March 30,1932 in Mecklenburg County, NC to the late James Davidson and the late Ruby Byers Davidson. Edna attended the Columbus Chapel School and was employed for over 31 years at Cabarrus Hospital.

She was a member of Holly Grove Primitive Baptist Church where she was the Mother of the Church and formerly served on the Usher Board Services will be held Saturday, December 8, at Holly Grove Primitive Baptist Church. Visitation will be 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM with funeral services at 2:00. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Lee Alexander; son, Leon Alexander; daughter, Willie Ruth Rice. Those left to cherish fond memories include one son, Curtis Alexander of the home; three daughters, Dorothy A. Anderson of Charlotte, Carolyn Cleveland of Concord, Phyllis Steele (Tyrone) of Charlotte, 21 grandchildren, two were raised in the home, Alicia McCrae and Jacqueline Ford; one sister, Thelma Barnett of Baltimore, MD; sister-in-law, Arquillia Davidson of Davidson; brother-in-law Claude Alexander of Kannapolis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
