Edna Johns Keeney, 79, of Calhoun, died Friday, May 10, 2019 at Gordon Health Care. She was born in Gordon County on July 27, 1939, daughter of the late B.W. and Cora Goforth Johns. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Wesley Johns and Leroy Johns; and sisters, Malisey Dutton, Martha Dutton, Betty Freeman, and Ruth Muse.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Howard Edge Jr., Donnie Edge, Jimmy and Rhonda Edge, John and Martha Edge, and William Keeney, all of Calhoun; her daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah and Joe Shuler of Calhoun, Carole and Mark Head of Plainville, and Marsha and Rev. Douglas Lee of Plainville; twenty grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret and Vernon Lewis, and Ruby and Tony Bryant, all of Calhoun. Nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Services to honor the life of Edna Johns Keeney will be held Monday, May 13th at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Douglas Lee officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the service hour of 3:00 PM.
