Edna Mae Quillen, 89, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Monday, February11, 2019, at Fort Dodge Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, February 15, 2019, at the Epworth United Methodist Church, 2025 11th Avenue South, with Pastor Alaire Willits officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the church service.

Interment will take place at the North Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorials may be directed to the family. Edna Mae was born May 13, 1929, in Fort Dodge, the daughter of Merle V. and Ruby J. (Mills) Erickson.

She attended Fort Dodge Senior High. On April 19, 1958, Edna Mae was united in marriage to David Max Quillen in Fairmont, MN. She worked as a presser at Brooks Laundry and Dry Cleaning for 32 years until her retirement in 1995.

Edna Mae enjoyed spending time with her family – especially at Christmas time. She also enjoyed bowling, drag racing, camping, fishing, Shirley Temple, watching NFL and cheering for the Green Bay Packers. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church where she was president of United Methodist Women, song leader and a member of Rachel’s Circle.

Edna Mae is survived by 4 children: Russel Steburg and wife Donna of Fort Dodge, Cheri Thompson of Tucson, AZ, Dennis Quillen and wife Rosemarie of Fort Dodge, and Ruby Hines and husband Bill of Badger, IA; 37 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother: Elizabeth Erickson; 1st husband: Edward Steburg in 1982; 2nd husband in 2013; 2 daughters: Pamela Quillen and Paula Ober and husband Duane; sister: Ruth Carlson and husband Donald; and 2 brothers: Kenneth Kreimer and James Erickson.
