Torres of Glen Rock died in Ridgewood NJ on Friday February 8 2019 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of 52 years to Gianna Rista. Eduardo was born in Puerto Rico, the son of Eduard Torres Besosa and Rosalina Ortiz.

After graduating from the University of Puerto Rico, he continued his studies at the New School in New York City and at Teacher’s College. He had a successful career in education and earned many accolades from teachers, parents, and student. IN his retirement, Eduardo enjoyed is passions in reading, music, gardening, photography and Old San Juan.

He was a devoted husband, a loving and involved father and grandfather. His patience was endless and his love unconditional. Eduardo was deeply involved in the lives of his three granddaughters who he adored.

Eduardo is survived by his wife, Gianna; daughter, Alessandra; his son-in-law, Jason; is grandchildren, Isabella, Emma, and Gabriella; his twin brother, Jose; his sister, Carmen Rosa and extended family of nieces and nephews. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 10:30am ET at St. Catherine’s R.C. located at 905 Maple Ave in Glen Rock, New Jersey. Interment will be at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery located at 234 Paramus Road in Paramus, New Jersey.
