Obituary for Eduardo Quijano Eduardo Quijano Duque was called to rest on May 1, 2018, lovingly surrounded by his daughter and grandchildren, Luciano and Olivia. He was born June 2, 1926, in Ibague, Colombia, to Eduardo Quijano Bejarano and Isabel Duque Vasquez. He is predeceased by his parents and brothers Alvaro and Ernesto, his dearly beloved wife Ines Martinez de Quijano, and sons Gabriel and Edward.

He is survived by his sister, Clemencia Quijano de Duran, loving daughter, Ines J. Quijano, grandchildren, Luciano, Roman, Olivia, Gregory, his wife and Great Granddaughter, Castiel, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Eduardo came to the United States via Detroit, Michigan, to train with the Burroughs Corporation. Upon returning to Colombia political changes motivated him to seek other horizons.

Eduardo returned to Detroit in 1950, where he became an airplane mechanic then worked for the Ford Motor Company. He later wrote a letter in “broken English” and secured a job in Eureka, California, driving across the country to begin a new adventure. In 1954, he went to work with Bank of America in San Francisco and later in Fresno as a Field Supervisor for a total of 32 years.

While in California he corresponded with his long time love and future wife, Ines, whom he married in 1958. They started a family in 1959, made memories by traveling frequently and participated in a Latin American Group enjoying friends, food and music. Eduardo’s warm smile and charming sense of humor will be missed by all who came into contact with him.
