Obituary for Eduardo Salazar Eduardo Salazar joined our Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 19, 2018. He was born in El Paso and graduated from Ysleta High School. He worked at I.C.E. and retired to care for his beloved son Eddie Jr. until his passing on March 29, 2018.

Eddie was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, and spending time at his second home or “el terreno”. He was a devoted husband and was happiest when he was cooking for his wife or listening to music while working on his meticulous backyard. He was blessed to have friends that enriched his life with countless memories.

He leaves a legacy of love and devotion to his family and friends. His stepdaughter Jessica paid this tribute to him “Eddie was a kind and generous man and I am glad that he was part of our lives”. Eddie is preceded in death by his son Eddie Jr

He is survived by this wife Vira, his mother Lucy, his son Eric, his brothers Gabriel and Louie and sisters Silvia and Irene, two grandchildren Sabrina and Eduardo III, stepdaughter Jessica Kocoseris Hernandez, and numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Homes- East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be at 11:45 AM, Thursday, May 24, 2018 at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1700 George Dieter.
