Edward John Ceck, age 88 of Chesterton, passed away on January 6, 2019 at the VNA Hospice Center. He was born on July 11, 1930 in Highspire, PA to Emanuel and Mary Ceck, both of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving daughters, Jean M. (Michael) Gaulke of Chesterton and Mary M. (Donald) Gulbransen of Valparaiso; his grandchildren: Jill (Chris) Huneryager, Sara (Aaron) Prybylla, Andrew Gaulke, Teresa Gaulke, Aaron Gulbransen and Chris (Janet) Gulbransen; his great-grandchildren: Jordan, Mara and Lily Huneryager, Paige and Zachary Hancock, Alexi Prybylla, Deaven and Scarlette Gaulke, and Leif Gulbransen.

He is also preceded in death by his loving wife, Greta Jean Ceck on June 30, 2012. Edward was a member of Saint Patrick Catholic Church. He proudly served his country in the Air National Guard.

He was also a League Bowler and was an avid Philadelphia sport’s fan. Some of his hobbies included woodworking and being the neighborhood handyman, but his favorite hobby was spending time with his grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, 638 N Calumet Rd, Chesterton, IN with Fr.

Jon Plavcan officiating. Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN.
