Edward R. Kraus, age 84, of Clark, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday November 11, 2018, at his residence. Born and raised in Elizabeth, he has since resided in Clark for the past 53 years. Edward worked as a machinist for the American Can Company of Edison, formerly Hillside, for 30 years.

He honorably served in the US Army from 1957 to 1959. Edward was an avid landscaper, he enjoyed being outdoors and taking walks. He also was a longtime Little League coach for his son’s teams.

Edward is survived by his children, Susan Kraus and Robert Kraus (Lisa); three grandchildren, Janea, Kaylyn and Logan and her two great grandchildren; 1 sister Agnes Sergi (Marty). Visitation will be at the Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home 211 Westfield Ave. , Clark, on Friday November 16, 2018, from 9-10:30 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am, from St. John the Apostle R.C. Church, Linden.

Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, kindly offer donations to Angel Paws PO Box 282 Colonia, NJ 07067 or to the Center for Hope Hospice 1900 Raritan Road Scotch Plains, NJ 07076.
