Wagner, was born in Chicago on June 6, 1924, the dear son of the late Edward R. Wagner and Elsie Wagner nee Boy, beloved husband of the late Lois Irene and devoted father of Carol Irene (Thomas) Schneider and Robert Edward (Geraldine), adored Grandpa of Julie Irene Schneider, Marianne Carol Guzman, Thomas John Schneider Jr., beloved Pa of Vanessa Victoria Guzman and Jalyla Elizabeth Gomez, beloved brother of the late Naverta (the late Frank) Hornbostel and nephew Richard Hornbostel, fond brother in law of the late George (Bea) Selman, the late Gilbert (Veronica) Selman and the late Herbert (LaVerne) Selman and uncle, great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Edward served in the Navy during WWII and was a member of Teamsters Local 731 for 75 years. Ed asked that his service be private.

And so, as Ed wished, the family requests that those who knew this man of quiet strength, wisdom and kindness to remember him in a personal prayer, with warm thoughts of a life well lived.
