He is survived by beloved wife Akemi, son Victor, daughters Charlene and Susan (Russell) Hirai, cherished grandchildren Justin and Kyle Takara, and Paige and Kelsie Hirai. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives here and in Hawaii and Japan.
