LEOMINSTER- Edwin J. Landgraf, age 95, passed away peacefully on December 17th. Born in Paterson, NJ, on April 20, 1923, son of the late Joseph and Emilie (Zirk) Landgraf. His family moved to Leominster in 1930.

He graduated from St Bernard’s High School in 1940 and received his teaching certificate from Fitchburg State College in 1972. Mr Landgraf served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II and was stationed on the islands of Ulithi, Saipan and Guam. He was a sheet metal worker for 40 years working at Nutting & Walker, Dionne Envitrol and Brideau Sheet Metal.

He was the sheet metal instructor at Montachusett Regional Technical Vocational School from 1972-1983. He retired in 1991. Ed was a life-long Red Sox fan following every game.

He also enjoyed the Bruins and the Patriots. He could repair anything and always had a few projects going. He was a Life Member of the Leominster Sportsmen Club, loved to play golf, target pistol shoot and travel.

Ed leaves his beloved wife, M. Barbara (Martin) to whom he was married for 65 years. Besides his wife he leaves 4 children, Brian Landgraf of Exeter, NH, Nancy and her husband Richard Bernier of Dunstable, MA, Wade Landgraf of Leominster and Linda and her husband Ronald Abreu of Lancaster, MA, his grandchildren Danielle Madden, Matthew Landgraf, Colleen Nardello, Eric and Michael Abreu, 5 great grandchildren, Kaylee, Ainsley, Anthony, Rosalyn and Mason and daughter-in-law Barbara L. Landgraf. Ed is also survived by two siblings, Gerard Landgraf of Leominster and Madeline Murphy of Cambridge, MA, his sister-in-law Beverly (Cosenza) Daly, nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his brothers Louis and Eugene Landgraf, brother-in-law Fred Murphy and sister-in-law Dorothy Landgraf. Edwin’s Funeral will be held Friday, December 21, 2018, from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West St., Leominster, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Leo’s Church, 128 Main Street, Leominster.
