Edwin Joseph Charnuk, 86, passed away November 18, 2018. Edwin was born August 29, 1932 to the late Joseph and Pauline Charnuk in Long Island City, NY. He proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict in the US Army.

Edwin graduated from New York University and retired from B & W after 43 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking and doing projects for others. Edwin was preceded in death by his infant sister and first wife, Ermogene Charnuk (nee Blankenship).

He leaves behind his wife of 25 years, Nathalie; daughters, Gloria Charnuk and Patti Huddleston Watts; step-children, Nola Morrow, Roger (Debbie) Erwin, Robert (Janet) Erwin and Renee (Rob) Rainey; sisters-in-law, Josephine (Charles Reed) Kirk, Patricia Pepe, Gloria Jean Kennedy and Linda (Burnell) Ellison; brothers-in-law, Paul Blankenship, Sr., and David (Rosetta) Nicholas; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and dedicated friends. The family would like to thank the staff, dedicated aides and nurses of Autumnwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their excellent care of Edwin. , Norton on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 10 AM to 12 PM where services will be held at 12 noon with Pastor Gary Smith officiating. Entombment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family requests No Flowers, but donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (see below), or a charity of your choice.
