OBITUARY Eileen Carroll Garbe November 25, 1928 – January 15, 2019 Eileen Carroll Garbe, 90, of Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 15th, 2019. She was born and raised in Toms River and graduated Toms River High School, Class of 1947. Eileen modeled for a period of time for Powers Modeling Agency in New York City, NY.

Later on she became a Librarian at Georgian Court College in Lakewood, NJ. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and was a member of their Rosary Altar Society. Eileen was a member of Catholic Daughters of America and volunteered for many years at St. Joseph Grade School and High School.

Her greatest calling was being matriarch of her family. She loved the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eileen was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Molly Carroll; her beloved husband Harry Garbe in 2017; and her siblings: Ben Carroll, Dorothy Stephens, Mae Halligan, and Father Emmett Carroll OFM Conv.

Eileen is survived by her wonderful children Brian Garbe (Bob Ort), Shawn Garbe (Paula), Patrick Garbe (Mary), Colleen Castaldo (John) and Noeleen McLoughlin; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; her lifelong friend Rose Erbe; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 19th, from 9 to 10:30 AM, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM at St. Joseph Church, 685 Hooper Avenue in Toms River.

Burial will be immediately following at St. Joseph Cemetery in Toms River.
