OBITUARY Elaine Elizabeth Bankes February 16, 1946 – December 1, 2018 Elaine Elizabeth Bankes, 72, of Bartonville, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018 in Peoria. She was born February 16, 1946 in Peoria to John and Naomi (Jacobs) Randle. She married Kenneth D. Bankes on May 23, 1965 and he preceded her in death in 2001.

Also preceding her in death were her parents, four siblings, Kenny, Bill, Norman and Dorothy Randle, and one great-grandson, John Bankes III. Surviving are her son, John Bankes Sr. of Bartonville; two siblings, Tom Randle of Farmington, and Joy (Bill) Bucco of Canton; three grandchildren, John Bankes Jr. of Bartonville, Ashely Bankes of East Peoria and Matthew Metts of Florida; Three great-grandchildren, Izabelle, Tatum and Talon and many nieces and nephews. Elaine was a graduate of Manual High School and worked as cashier for Adams Street market and then she later worked for Peoria Plastics Inc. Elaine loved tending to her flowers, playing bingo with her sisters-in-law Cathy and Dorothy, going for drives in the country and spoiling Bronx.

She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and aunt that was like a second mom to everyone. Cremation will be accorded and a private family burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria at a later date. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
