Obituary for Elaine Hagel Elaine Hagel, 78, passed away on October 22, 2018 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 16, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York. She lived in New York and New Jersey all her life, and graduated from Asbury Park High School.

She later received her Master’s Degree in Education from Trenton State College. Elaine had a successful career as a teacher in the Long Branch School District, where she was awarded New Jersey’s Teacher of the Year. She will be remembered as a dedicated and caring professional who was an inspiration to her students, family, and friends.

Elaine is survived by her loving children Robin and Scott; sister, Adrienne; brother, Robert and his wife, Paula. She was predeceased by her brother, Mark; and her beloved husband, Ferdinand. Services are private and under the direction of Waitt Funeral Home Cremation Services.
