OBITUARY Elaine Johnston January 13, 1923 – October 24, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Elaine Johnston, 95, of Belvedere, California died on October 24, 2018 at her home, surrounded by family. Elaine was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 13, 1923. She graduated from the College of Saint Teresa in Winona, Minnesota where she met her future husband, Thomas Johnston.

They were married in 1946 and spent 50 rich years together until Tom’s death in 1995. Elaine had a passion for duplicate bridge, reading (most recently Walter Isaacson’s “Leonardo da Vinci”), and making each day a bit better than the last. She ended every day saying, “Thank you for a beautiful day”.

She is survived by her children: Elene, Molly, Anne, Karen, John (Peggy); her much loved grandchildren: Morgan, Katherine (Swati), Jay, Allison (Elizabeth), Kelsey, Laura and Sidney; and her adored great-grandson, Rohan. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 am, the funeral mass at 11:00 and a reception following mass at St. Hilary Church on November 9, 2018. In lieu of flowers, Elaine requested that donations be made to Hospice by the Bay, 17 East Sir Francis Drake Blvd.
