OBITUARY Eleanor L. Norton January 3, 1921 – October 25, 2018 Eleanor “Ellie” L. Norton, 97, of Concord died Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Pleasant View Center in Concord, NH. Born in Chelsea, MA on January 3, 1921 to Kenneth and Sarah “Sadie” (Whalen) Gill both from Newfoundland. Ellie married William D. Norton on March 12, 1942.

They joined Wesley United Methodist Church in 1959. Ellie was the Office Manager for Dr. Webster Soule for 15 years and was the Purchaser at Concord Clinic for 10 years. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, William D. Norton in 2015; son, Kenneth Norton in 2003 and a sister, Barbara Hill.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Kathleen Moore of Madison, NH; cousin, Joan Tarbox of N. Reading, MA and her special friends, Bob and Winnie Baker of Concord. A memorial service will be held at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St. Concord, on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 1PM officiated by Rev. Peter Hey.

A private committal service will take place at Blossom Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions in Eleanor’s name to Wesley United Church, 79 Clinton St. Concord, NH 03301. Arrangements are entrusted to the Bennett Funeral Home of Concord.
