Obituary for Mrs. Eleanor Rydholm RYDHOLM, ELEANOR C. 97, died peacefully Sunday, June 17th 2018 in her home at the Sunrise Senior Living, Edina, MN. She was born May 23, 1921 in Valley City, ND. She was the daughter of Nels and Petra (Saugestad) Hanson and was the youngest of 13 children.

She graduated from Valley City High School and soon after moved to Minneapolis. Eleanor met and married Rueben Rydholm in 1944 and they raised their two children, Robert and Nancy in Winthrop, MN. Eleanor and “Rudy” then moved to Dassel and she was employed by 3M in Hutchinson as an Executive Assistant and retired in 1981.

Preceded in death by her husband, Reuben; her son, Robert; seven sisters and five brothers. Survived by daughter and son-in law, Nancy and John Kelso of Newport Beach, CA. and many loving nieces and nephews.

Eleanor lived life with vigor and vitality. She cherished her friendships and was an amazing wife and mother. She traveled to many exciting locations including Norway for her 80th birthday.

She had a love for music and regularly attended swim and exercise classes. She was kind and compassionate and lots of fun. Eleanor loved her adopted cat, Rugby.

She was a long-time and active member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. Memorials preferred to this church. Funeral services will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 4801 France Ave.
