The Obituary Eleanor Shirley Martin, was born February 4, 1949 to the Elwood Johnson and Doralee Simms in Norristown, Pennsylvania. At the age of 70 Eleanor passed on February 7, 2019 at home surrendered by family. She was employed at Tyson Shirt Company for over twenty years and retired from SHARP Company.

She married J. Samuel Martin and from that union were two daughters, Serena and Samella. Eleanor was a former member of Theist Temple Church of God in Christ, Norristown where she served on the choir and participated in community services. She sewed clothes for her girls, loved to cook and her favorite meal was spaghetti and macaroni and cheese.

Was loveable, kind hearted, loved her family and grandchildren. She missed her husband, but we know they are together again. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters: Serena (Kevin) Martin-Crawford, Samella Martin.

Five grandchildren: Kevin Jr., Kevonna, Kalvin, Dashawna, Jasmine. One sister: Delores Benson; one brother: Leroy (Rosetta) Johnson; two sisters-in-laws: Lola Pearl Washington, Denise Washington. She was predeceased in death by husband: J. Samuel Martin (March 4, 2013); Brothers: Jessie John, Elwood Johnson Jr.; sister Virginia Johnson; parents Elwood Johnson and Dorlee Simms.
