Obituary for Elester Taylor Jr. Elester Taylor Jr. was born July 2, 1957 in Gary, Indiana to the union of Elester and Mary Taylor. He was the second child born to this union. He was nicknamed “Whopper Jr.’’ by his nieces and nephews because of his love of Burger King whoppers and the love of food in general.

Elester Jr. attended Rich Central High School in Olympia Fields, Illinois graduating in 1975. He had a love for music where he was known as a great drummer playing in various small bands. He was also known as a good-looking man and loved dressing his best at all times.

He was very skillful and able to do various odd jobs, always willing to give a helping hand where needed. His passion of trucks led him to his career in trucking, where he worked for J.B. Hunt and Ecklund Logisitics Trucking Company in Winnebago County Wisconsin. On August 18, 2018, he departed this life.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his parents Elester and Mary Taylor; two brothers: Timothy Taylor of Kansas City, MO and Joeron (Keisha) Taylor of Calument City, IL; four sisters: Shirley (Lamont) Hill of Cane Ridge, TN, Debra (Sidney) Stafford of Park Forest, IL, Patricia Johnson of Matteson, IL and Samantha Taylor of Calument City, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-niece and nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
