Elizabeth’s Obituary Elizabeth A. (Cook) Ervans, age 77 of Midland, passed away on Sunday February 3, 2019 at MidMichigan Medical Center, Midland. The daughter of the late Lovell J. and Mary C. (Barnard) Genson was born in Jackson, Michigan on October 6, 1941. She was the first full graduating class of the new Midland High School in 1959.

Liz had been employed with Chemical Bank as a Teller for 10 years and then with The Dow Chemical Co. until retiring in 2003 after 10 years of service. She was an avid bowler and was inducted in to the Midland Bowling Hall of Fame and was also an avid Tigers Fan. Surviving are her daughters, Tammy Cook of Midland, Cory (John) Lerg of St. Louis, Michigan; grandchildren, Joshua (Michelle) Cook, Jacob Lerg and Hayley Lerg; great grandson, Sebastian Cook; brothers, Richard (Myrla) Genson of Flushing, David (Iris) Genson of Dexter; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Liz was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Genson. Per Liz’s wishes, cremation has taken place and burial of her ashes will be in Midland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offer to Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund or MidMichigan Health Foundation Diabetes Center.
