Hicks, age 84, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at the Foxwood Springs Living Center. A Memorial Service will be held at the Powell Gardens in Kingsville, Missouri at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, 1100 Pennsylvania Ave.

, Kansas City, Missouri 64105 or Crossroads Hospice, 14310 E 42nd St S #600, Independence, MO 64055. Elizabeth was born on December 8, 1934 in London, England. She was the daughter of Harry and Violet (Jones) Doe.

Elizabeth had one brother, Stan Doe. On March 27, 1953 Elizabeth was joined in marriage with the love of her life, Harvey F. Hicks. Harvey was stationed in England with service with the United States Air Force.

Not long after marriage, Elizabeth joined Harvey in traveling back to the United States in 1955 with their daughter Catherine and 4 years later with son Paul. In 1971 the two of them arrived in Kansas City, however ended up soon settling in Raymore, Missouri. Elizabeth was a homemaker, she enjoyed raising her two children and spent much time knitting and gardening.

Elizabeth loved her garden beds. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Violet Doe. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Harvey F. Hicks; daughter Catherine Henthorne (Marvin); son Paul Hicks (Teresa); brother Stan Doe; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Henthorne (Sharlene), Dustin Hicks (Nichole), David Hicks and Sarah Hicks; four great grandchildren, Jennifer, Jamie, Jacob and Bryson; and great-great granddaughter, Zuri.
