Obituary for Elizabeth “Betty” Louise Norris Elizabeth “Betty” Louise Norris, age 88, of Rensselaer, IN passed away June 11, 2018 at Parkview Haven Retirement Home, in Francesville, IN. Betty was born in Rensselaer, Indiana on July 4, 1929, the daughter of the late Joseph George and Cecelia (Beck) Ferguson. Betty attended St. Augustine Elementary School and went on to graduate from Rensselaer High School with the class of 1947.

In 1956 , Betty graduated from the St. Margaret School of Nursing in Hammond, IN. After graduation she worked at St. Joseph’s College Health Clinic for 5 years and at the former Jasper County Hospital. Betty retired after 15 years working as a registered nurse for Dr. F.E. O’Brien at the Clinic of Family Medicine.

On December 14, 1957, Betty married Russell Elmer Stoller, who passed away on May 11, 1974. Then, on January 18, 1986, in Rensselaer, IN, she married Wayne C. Norris who passed away on January 16, 2013. She was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church and a past member of the Jasper County Hospital Auxiliary.

Betty will be missed dearly by her sisters Jo Ann Grant of Vero Beach, FL and Eileen Pullin of Lafayette, IN and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by two sisters Patricia Ann Ferguson and Dolly Williamson. A Celebration Gathering will be held at the St. Augustine Catholic Church of Rensselaer on Thursday June 14, 2018 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in Honor of Betty at 11:00 AM with Father Don Davison officiating.
