Obituary for Elizabeth “Betty” Maria Blessing-Steimle BLESSING-STEIMLE Elizabeth “Betty” Maria (Bucher); Beloved wife of the late Vincent J. Blessing and the late Clarence J. Steimle; Devoted mother of Gerald (Mary Lou), Daniel, Peter (Betsey), Vincent (Colleen), Stephen (Heather), and Charles (Micheline) Blessing, Regina (Gregory) Ochs, Maria (Michael) Bowling, and Elisa (Lawrence) Austing; Stepmother of the late Kenneth (Patricia), the late Jerome (Janice), and Lawrence (Cindy) Steimle, the late Mary (Barry) Mersmann and Faye (Michael) Kelley; Also survived by 30 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren; Dear sister of the late Marie B. Haynay, the late Barbara M. Brogle, and the late Anna M. D’Agastino; Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends; Passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018; Age 100; Resident of Springfield Township. Betty’s life was rich with family, church, and friends. She had a compassionate heart for the poor and those in need and a smile and encouraging word for everyone she encountered.

She inspired others with a grateful attitude and exuberance in pursuing hobbies and interests throughout her life…and she loved the babies! Visitation will be held at Corpus Christi Church, 2014 Springdale Rd. , on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 9:30 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM; Graveside services will be held at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery; If desired, remembrances may be made to St. Rita School for the Deaf or Food Pantry of Corpus Christi Church.
