Elizabeth (Dee) Ramsay, 84, died Friday September 21, 2018 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, NH. She was born in Portland, ME on February 10, 1934 to the late Walter A. and Priscilla (Jordan) Dee. Elizabeth was raised in Newburyport and was a graduate of Immaculate Conception Grammar and High School.

Following High School she graduated from Addison Gilbert School of Nursing with her nursing diploma. She worked for many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse, before furthering her education and graduating with Honors from Northern Es Community College. She then held positions as a Mental Health Technician, Sign Language Technician, and Addiction Specialist.

Elizabeth was instrumental in the establishment of T.O.P.S. in Newburyport. Elizabeth enjoyed traveling, her favorite destinations were Hawaii and Bar Harbor, ME where she would visit at least twice a year.

She was an avid reader, and enjoyed knitting and sewing. Elizabeth is survived by her husband Leslie A. Ramsay, Jr. of Newburyport; daughters, Lynda Jo Ramsay and her wife Rhonda Skomiro of Providence, RI, and Lori Beth Ramsay of Haverhill; grandchildren, Jessica Elizabeth, Kyle, Kerri, Tyler, and Aleyah; great grandchildren, Anthony, Kaiden, Carlos, Neely, Faith, and Olivia; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was pre deceased by her son Leslie A. Ramsay III, and brothers, Walter and Robert Dee.

Family and friends may call on Thursday September 27, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Parking available behind the Funeral Home. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Friday September 28, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Church.

Burial will be private at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Elizabeth’s name to St Jude’s Childrens Hospital online at www. stjude.org, in memory of her late son Leslie A. Ramsay III.
