Mrs. Elizabeth Elaine’s Obituary Reidsville – Mrs. Elizabeth Elaine Galloway Taylor joined the Heavenly Choir on Thursday, May 2, 2019. As a native and lifelong resident of Rockingham County, she attended the local public schools and was a graduate of Charles Drew High School, Class of 1967. She was formerly employed by Golden Belt Corporation (24 years), GTE and Metzler Corporation.

At a tender age, she accepted Christ as her Saviour and united with the Bethlehem Baptist Church, Stoneville. Later in life, she became an ardent member of West End Baptist Church where she faithfully served with the Combined Choir, Mass Choir and the Praise Team. She was a former member of the Galloway Singers.

Her parents, Frances Carter Galloway and James Elmo Galloway; beloved husband, Oradgneal Donnell Taylor, Sr.; stepson, Everett “Tony” Watlington; siblings, Lorraine Hooker, Virginia Roach, Christine Galloway, Brenda Galloway and James Leroy Galloway, preceded her in death. Survivors are: loving children, Tara Taylor Slade (Harvey) and Oradgneal Taylor, II (Tosha); grandchildren, Ja’Quan and Kayla Fogg; great-grandchildren, Kash and Khloe Broadnax; step-daughter, Bontrevia Wilson; step-grandchildren, Quinyan Wilson, Tiki Wilson and Harvier Slade; brother, Rev. Samuel Galloway (Vergie); aunt Ruth Carter; special nieces, Shelia Hooker, Stephanie Sanders (Marcus), Sherry Hooker, Montina Galloway, Abrial Galloway, Latonya Williams (Keith), Catina Winchester and Aletha Roach; special nephews, Jhaundrell Hooker and Dantavious Taylor; special friends, Patricia Foye, Jackie Watkins, Denise Pass, Mary Wilson, Alice Martin, Sarah Keesee, Min.

Donna Robinson and Min. Denise Boler; devoted cousins, Geneva Dillard and Paul Carter; sisters-in-law, Sharon Irving (Isaac), Elizabeth Galloway, Brenda Mann, Ressie Johnson and Rena Broadnax (Rev. Harry); brother-in-law, Samuel Roach; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2019 from the First Baptist Church, 401 Hubbard Street with Dr. Joseph A. Bryant and Rev. Reginald Cook presiding. The family visitation will be Thursday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the church and may be contacted other times at 304 North Franklin Street.

Her remains are in the care of Johnson & Sons.
