Elizabeth Henderson April 20, 1961 – March 24, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Elizabeth Henderson passed away peacefully Sunday, March 24, 2019 in Anna, Texas at the age of 57 surrounded by her family. Born Elizabeth Elaine Henderson on April 20, 1961 in Whitewright, Texas to Tommy & Amanda (Page) Henderson. Liz’s greatest joy in life was her family and her fur babies.

She always had words of wisdom and encouragement to others, never putting herself first. She never wanted to be a burden to anyone and was adamant about remaining strong and independent. She created Words of Life in Wood and was blessed with a creative imagination through art and woodwork.

She was an exceptional cook, especially her homemade coconut and chocolate pies, not to mention her no-bake cookies. She was blessed with a God given voice and enjoyed singing with family and friends. She is survived by her two sons, Phillip Allison of McKinney, Texas and Jonathon Rios of Whitewright, Texas.

Mother, Amanda Henderson of Whitewright, Sister, Wanda Pierce and spouse Randy of Whitewright, Sister, Tammy Henderson and spouse Christopher McCullough of Anna, Texas, and brother, Dwayne Henderson and spouse Connie of Whitewright, one grandson, many nieces and nephews, and her two fur babies, Isabella and Roxy. She was preceded in death by her father, Tommy Henderson, and brother Danny Henderson. Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, March 30 at the First Baptist Church in Whitewright, Texas.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to funeral service. Intermit will be at Whitewright City Cemetery immediately following funeral. A gentle wind blew across the land Reaching out to take a hand For on the winds the angels came Calling out a mother’s name.

Left behind, the children’s tears Loving memories of the years Of joy and love, a life well spent And now to God a mother’s sent. On angel’s wings, a heavenly flight The journey home, towards the light To those who weep, a life is gone But in God’s love, ’tis but the dawn.
