Obituary for Elizabeth “Liz” Steinbeck Elizabeth (Liz) Steinbeck of Manchester, CT, passed away on November 11, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. She was born in Meriden on November 20, 1943 and was a graduate of St. Mary Parochial School and Maloney High School. She was predeceased by her parents Frederick N. and Anna (Majeski) Steinbeck, Sr., as well as her stepmother Vera MacDonald Steinbeck of Ashland, ME.

Elizabeth is survived by brother Frederick N. Steinbeck, Jr. and his wife Barbara, sister Rose Mary Olschefski and her husband Albert and brother John G. Steinbeck, all of Meriden. She is also survived by nieces Sheryl Fritz (David) of Oxford, CT, Amy O’Donnell and Heidi Boyd, both of Meriden. Her nephews include Gary M. (Tina) Steinbeck of New York City, Karl (Terry) Olschefski of Philadelphia and Eric Steinbeck of Meriden.

Additional survivors include five great nieces and four great nephews, three great-great nieces and one great-great nephew. A private memorial service was officiated by Sister Georgeann Vumbaco of Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish was held at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden, CT 06450. Interment followed in St. Boniface Cemetery.
