OBITUARY Elizabeth Thompson Huggins July 30, 1938 – December 11, 2018 Elizabeth ” Liz” Gertrude Huggins was born July 30, 1938 and raised in Charleston, SC. She preceded in death by her spouse, Robert H. Huggins; mother, Lillian “Lilly” Thompson; and brother James “Polly” Thompson. She is survived by sister, Helen (Thompson) Meyers.

She was the mother of 7 beautiful young women: Arlene (Thompson) Kelly, Lorraine (Thompson) Grant (Deceased), Jeanette (Carter) Moultrie, Gwendolyn (Carter) Garfield, Robin (Carter) Moody, Karen (Carter) Middleton and Felicia Huggins (Deceased). Liz was a sister, a mother, a grandmother and an aunt to many. She welcomed and opened her home without judgement and with love.

Her home was always a place to eat, rest and catch up. She will be missed for her hospitality, humor, beautiful smile and impact on future generations. The Carter and Thompson families are grateful for all your prayers, love, and support.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 12 noon to 1 pm. with the Life Well Celebrated Service starting at 1 pm in the Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at the Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Ave.
