Obituary for Elizabeth Wallace McWalter Elizabeth (Wallace) McWalter, 62, of Southwest Greensburg, died Wednesday May 16, 2018 in Excela Westmoreland Hospital. She was born December 6, 1955 in Spartanburg, SC, a daughter of Anne Louise (Murray) Wallace of Spartanburg, and the late Dr. William A. Wallace. Elizabeth was a former employee of Jo-Ann Fabrics, Greensburg, and a former member of the board of directors and longtime volunteer for Tri-City Meals On Wheels.

She developed a love of travel from childhood years spent with family traveling the country in the family’s Airstream trailer. She traveled extensively and has made several trips to Europe. Although she dealt with several health issues in recent years she always maintained a positive attitude.

She was a graduate of Centenary University, Hackettstown, NJ. In addition to her father she is preceded in death by her son John S. McWalter III in 2011. In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband J. Scott McWalter; her daughter Amanda Fiske of Albany, NY; her granddaughter Harmony Fiske; sisters Angie Wallace, Martha (Clarke) Blackman and Sarah (Sam) Galloway all of Spartanburg, SC; also nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 11:30 am to 1 p.m. Saturday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Dr. Ronald H. Wakeman, officiating. Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made to Tri-City Meals-On-Wheels, 716 Foster St., Greensburg, PA 15601.
