Ellita (Weezer) Ward Matthews, age 77 of Oak Ridge (formerly of Asheville, NC) passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Parkwest Medical Center. She was a retired Oncology nurse having worked in the Asheville area. Ellita loved humming birds, antique furniture and traveling.

She loved to talk and was a huge Nascar fan (especially Dale Earnhardt Sr.) and sports enthusiast. Her sons will remember her as a very loving and caring mother and their best friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Wexler and Leslie Cox Hall.

She is survived by her 2 sons, John Ward Jr. and wife Renee of Asheville, NC and their son Dylan Ward, Jason Ward and husband Gary of Oak Ridge, brother R.A. Bradshaw and wife, Theresa of Tyler, TX, special friends, Sandra and Buck Zeller, Nancy Garrison and Kim Cable and a host of other family and friends.
