She was born May 19, 1937 in Venustiano Carranza Puebla, Mexico. She is preceded in death by her parents Adalberto and Severa Fernandez; her brothers Blas, Guillermo and Lorenzo Fernandez; her sister Concepcion Fernandez.

She is survived by her loving husband Pablo De La Garza; her children Pablo De La Garza and wife Maria E., Bernabe De La Garza and wife Maria, Bernardo Fernandez and wife Marisela; her daughters Esther De La Garza and husband Jesus E. Lopez, Lydia McElwea, Ruth De La Garza and husband Daniel De Llano; along with 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren as well as other loving family members and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday May 1, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Segunda Iglesia Bautista 1215 Mahlmann St. in Rosenberg, Texas.
