OBITUARY Elsie Imogene Ferguson (Jean) Maupin December 4, 1928 – September 1, 2018 MAUPIN, Elsie Imogene Ferguson (Jean) , 89 of Richmond, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 1, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Wendell W. Maupin and her eldest son, James W. Maupin. She is survived by her son, Ronald K. Maupin, wife Julia, grandchildren, Gabriel Maupin, wife Abby, Cherie Maupin Hannah, husband Kenny, Jamie Maupin, Matt Henderson, wife Tracy, Grace Henderson Floyd, 3 step grandchildren, Nicholas Shelton, Perry Shelton, and Jeffery Shelton, 11 great grandchildren, and 6 step great-grandchildren.

She was a life-long member of Welborne United Methodist Church. Jean was a devoted mother and grandmother, with family always coming first. She will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Woody Funeral Home Parham Chapel. A church service will take place on Saturday at 2 PM at Welborne United Methodist Church, 920 Maybeury Dr, Richmond, VA 23229. A graveside service will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
