Obituary for Elvia Fumo Elvia Ann Fumo (nee Villani) passed away peacefully on December 11, 2018, in her living room surrounded by family members. She is survived by seven children, 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and her brother, Gino Villani, of Kenosha. Preceding her in death were her husband, Mario Bob Fumo, and sisters Theresa (Huge) and Dora (Marano).

Most of her family joined her in celebrating her 90th birthday this past April in Nashville, TN, where she lived with daughter Carol (Claude) Cailliet and their family. She also was blessed to have six sons: Rick (Kay), Robert (Sherri), Joe (Robbie), John (Kelly), Phil and Bill. Her love and compassion for each person in her life seemed endless.

Born in Kenosha on April 22, 1928, Elvia was the daughter of Filippo and Virginia Villani (nee Terranera). She lived most of her life in Kenosha but spent the latter years with her daughter and family in Middleton, WI, and finally in Nashville. She chose motherhood over a fashion career but employed her sewing skills to create everything from wedding dresses to nuns’ habits to mending clothes for her children.

One of her grandchildren summed up Elvia’s essence when asked what she most admired about her grandmother: “How she can have so many people in her heart but make everyone feel special”. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 17th, at Proko Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, followed by a brief memorial service. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
