On Thursday, November 22, 2018 Elzbieta ‘Ela’ (Soja) Skinder, loving wife, sister, aunt and friend passed through the veil at the age of 74. She was born on November 20th, 1944 in Koniecmosty, Poland. On April 25th, 1992 she was married to Mikolaj Skinder.

They were sealed in the Chicago, Illinois Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on August 4th, 2001. Ela had a green thumb which foster her love for gardening and growing flowers. She enjoyed cooking and baking.

She was a valiant daughter of God and was known for her compassionate, kind hearted spirit who always loved to serve others. Ela was preceded in death by her parents Marian and Stefanja (Bysiecka) Soja, her brother Miroslaw, and her sister Zofia. She is survived by her husband Mikolaj Skinder, Step-sons Miroslaw and Robert.

She was a dear sister to Teresa (Andrzej) Szwab, aunt to Wojciech and Marzena and a friend to many. Visitation at Cooney Funeral Home 3918 W Irving Park Rd on Thursday November 29th from 5-7 pm with a service at 7 pm. Interment Montrose Cemetery.
