OBITUARY Emidio Faraone Passed away on January 29, 2019 Emidio “Rocky” Faraone died January 29th peacefully passing in his sleep at home after a short illness. He was born in Baia Latina, Italy and migrated to College Point at age 6 He married the love of life Mary “Betty” Faraone on November 28, 1953, recently renewing his wedding vows on his 65th Anniversary. He was preceded by his parents Umberto and Anna Faraone and sisters Marie and Eunice Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Vincent Faraone, Glenn Faraone, Jeanmarie Innes and their spouses Linda, Diana, Robin and George.

His grandchildren Danielle, George, Colleen, Shawn, Emily, Erin, Kathleen and Kelly and Great Grandchildren Summer, Peyton and Eleanor. A man devoted to service he enlisted in the Navy during WWII serving as a Seabee in the South Seas. He was very active in numerous positions at St Fidelis Catholic Church.

He with his wife Betty directed a Senior Citizen Center serving their community. He was a member of the American Legion and the active in the Knights of Columbus. He was a man who lived up to their motto of In Service to One, In Service to All.

He has been recognized for his service on multiple occasions. He enjoyed playing Softball, Camping and Football. He had a lifelong allegiance to NY Giants in good seasons and bad.

Viewing hours at the Frederick Funeral Home will be Friday Feb 1 from 2-5 & 7-9pm. Catholic Funeral Rites will be take place on Saturday Feb 2 at St Fidelis Roman Catholic Church at 9:30am with graveside service immediately following at Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery, Flushing, NY.
