He was married and survived by his wife Winifred Herget of 64 years. They moved to Port Richey, Florida in 1995. He was survived by his 2 sons and family, Eugene Herget, Raymond Herget (Kimberly Herget, Kenneth (Breanne, Brantley), Nicholas (Jessica), Brother Alfred Herget and several nieces and nephews.
