Emma Lee Pruitt Seay December 22, 1928 – February 11, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Spartanburg, SC- Emma Lee Pruitt Seay, 90, wife of the late Judson Noah Seay, Jr., died Monday, February 11, 2019. Born December 22, 1928 in Spartanburg, SC, Emma was a daughter of the late Dewey Boyce and Mildred Rogers Pruitt. She was a graduate of Duncan High School, class of 1947, and retired from Springs Plant of Lyman after 29 years.

Emma was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church where she taught children’s Sunday School for many years. She was also a member of the New Beginnings Sunday School Class, the choir for about 60 years, and the Young at Heart group. Emma was an avid Gamecock fan.

Emma is survived by her son, Judson Noah Seay, III; four grandchildren, Kelly Crowe (Samuel), Connor, Abbie, and Claire Seay; great grandchildren, Noah, Macie, and Story; a sister, Linda Smith; and daughter in-law, Beth Broom. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Glenn and Cecil Pruitt. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 13th, 6-8PM at Dunbar Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 14th, 2:00PM at Fairforest Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend Jimmy Hilton and Reverend David Swofford. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairforest Baptist Church, P O Box 338, Fairforest, SC 29336.
