WADE, Emma Lee, born November 28, 1937 in Kelso, Tennessee to Frank and Georgia Scott, departed this life after a short illness October 27, 2018. Emma confessed Christ at an early age and was a member of the Greater Love Missionary Baptist Church. She graduated from Dunbar High School and furthered her education at Sinclair Community College, earning a degree in Nursing.

She continued her nursing education and became a Registered Nurse with certifications in the State of Ohio and Tennessee. She was an extraordinary person, touching the lives of so many, not only through nursing but through her church, and having her as a friend. Emma had a kind, positive and giving spirit that will be surely missed.

She lived her life to the fullest, never missing a chance to touch others with her expertise, or with a kind word. She took every opportunity to connect with her family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Georgia Scott; husband, Roosevelt Wade; daughters, Dewanna Scott and Sherry Wade; brother, Frank T. Scott; sister, Mary Hickmon.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her grandsons, Donnie and Ronnie Wood; uncle, Charles Kelso, all of Dayton; a host of nephews, nieces and cousins. A special thanks to her special friends, Annie Ruth Wade-Orr, Kenneth Crowder, Devaney Jones and Tracy Morris. Funeral service will be held 12 noon Monday, November 5, 2018 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave.

Pastor Lewery Watkins officiating. Visitation 9 am Monday at the funeral home until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

Interment Dayton National Cemetery.
