Ericka Denise Gooden, 34, of Clairton, Pennsylvania, departed this life on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, in Southwestern Health Center. Born February 3, 1985, in McKeesport, daughter of Eric Gooden of Duquesne and the late Lawna Anger. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Carrie Gooden and Frances and Lester Jay.

Ericka was a member of Living Waters Ministries of Clairton and a graduate of Clairton High School, where she was a Clairton Bear Cheerleader. After graduation, Ericka attended the Kaplan Institute and received a certificate in Medical Billing and later worked as a Nurse’s Aide for Atria Senior Living. Ericka also volunteered as a Youth Cheerleading Coach.

She loved to sing, but most importantly she LOVED her family! Survivors include her father and step-mother, Eric and Sonya Gooden of Duquesne; children, Chier Fuqua and Elynn Gooden both of Clairton; nine siblings, Erie and Eric Gooden both of Clairton, Blake M. Gooden of Homestead, Elijah Gooden of North Versailles, Danisha Holliday, Janaya Nelson, Javon Nelson, Samuel Mitchell, and Lawna Mitchell all of Pittsburgh; step-sister, Larrina Carr of Clairton; step-brothers, Diallo and Diangelo Mitchell both of Duquesne, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends, who were touched by her spirit. Friends will be received on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, from 4- 8 pm in the Mt.

Olive First Baptist Church, 451 Park Avenue, Clairton, Pennsylvania, where services will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2019, at 11:00 am with Bishop Thelma Jean Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the McKeesport and Versailles Cemetery, McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Arrangements entrusted to Robert A. Waters Funeral Home, Inc., Clairton, Pennsylvania.
