Erma Jean Adams was born on April 10, 1923 in Cane Creek, Oklahoma. She attended Phyllis Wheatley High school in Boynton, OK and later in life worked for “an ammunition facility”. She then worked in several positions at Guy’s Potato Chips for many years and retired there after its name change to Borden.

Erma accepted Christ in her heart and her light shined bright everywhere she went. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and served as an usher. She was later added to the motherboard.

She enjoyed singing and spending time with her family. From her unions she birthed five children. Chesna, Gerald, Barbara, Brenda and Vickie.

Erma Jean Adams was preceded in death by her parents: James Wesley and Lillian McIntosh. Five of her siblings: Gussie Shoats, Arvella Johnson, James Willard McIntosh, Eugene McIntosh and Carl McIntosh. And her daughter Vickie.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Chesna Henderson, Gerald Lockridge, Barbara Davis (Drake) and Brenda Robinson (Todd); six siblings: Odessa Love, Russell McIntosh (Joane), Wilma Matthews, Woodrow McIntosh (Ruth), Delois Brown and Willie Jean Hines and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services were held Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Macedonia Baptist Church in KCMO. Visitation 10:00 A.M. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery.
