OBITUARY Mr. Ernest Lee Willey Jr. November 3, 1947 – January 22, 2019 Ernest “Ernie” Lee Willey Jr., 71, of Charleston, went to be with the Lord on January 22, 2019 at home after complication from Agent Orange. Ernie was born November 3, 1947 to the late Ernest Willey Sr., and Mary Frances Burdette. He married his childhood sweetheart of 51 years, Brenda Roth.

Ernie worked for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for 34 years. He was an Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam conflict between 1969-1970 with the 199th infantry Brigade. Left to cherish his memory are loving wife, Brenda Willey; daughters, Kimberly Willey Smith of Beloit, Ohio, Heidi Crowder (John) of Charleston, Michelle Willey of Bancroft; grandchildren, Chaslyn Antill, Joshua Antill (Krisanna), Bryan Fields, Mitchell Eggleston (Brianna), and Matthew Eggleston (Brittany); nine Great-Grandchildren; sister, Darlene Baker; a great-nephew; and two great-neices.

Ernie’s family would like to thank special friends, Denver Hamblin, Gary Mcgloughlin, Shirl Jr., and William Surface, the Charleston Veterans Center, and the Veterans Clinic. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Veterans Center, 200 Tracy Way, Charleston.
