Ernestine Franklin Carr, age 97, of Milledgeville, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019. A native of Toccoa, she was born June 6, 1921 to the late Ira Warren Franklin and the late Amy Louise Thomas Franklin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her Husband, Robert Edward Carr, Sr., by a Brother, Horace W. Franklin, Sr., by two Sisters, Edna Wright and Christine Aycock, and by a Great Grandson, Cody Carr.

Ernestine is survived by: Her Children, Sandy & Bo Camilla, Bobby & Judy Carr, Cheryl & John Chapman, Brenda & Hugh Hindman, Janice & Bud Merritt, and Tina & Owen Pittman ; by Nieces and Nephews, Madelyn Wright, Debby Dobbs, Maryann Brown, Vickie Yates, Vicki Franklin, Janie Butler, Dianne Barton, Mary Jackson, Carolyn Stephens, Jimmy Aycock, and David Aycock ; 17 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, & 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services for Ernestine Franklin Carr will be conducted Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 12:30pm in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will be Private.

The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 11:30 AM until the service hour. The family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in Memory of her Great Grandson, Cody Carr.
