ERVIN CARL AUGUST KRUEGER, age 94, of Worthington, died Sunday, May 26, 2019, at South Shore Care Center in Worthington. He was born December 11, 1924, in Ocheyedan, IA, to Edward and Martha (Bottin) Krueger. He was raised in Ransom Township where he attended country school.

Ervin married Rona Vis in 1950. The couple farmed in Ransom Township and later moved to Worthington in March of 1988. He was a lifelong member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Worthington.

He enjoyed playing music, the piano, the accordion and also had played in a dance band. Ervin is survived by his ex-wife, Rona Krueger, Worthington; five children, Linda (Brad) Ebeling, Fremont, NE; Colleen Franklin, Shakopee; David (Mary) Krueger, Bigelow; Rose (Perry) Larson, Northfield; and Julie (Kert) Schmidt, St. Cloud; nine grandchildren, Mary (Luke) Metschke, Sarah (Jeremy) Addink, Robbie Franklin, Katie Franklin, Dan (Sara) Krueger, Michelle (Alan) Halverson, Anna Larson, Jennifer (Garrett) Schmidt-McCormack and Joey Schmidt; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Arlene Bents, Worthington. He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant granddaughter, Bethany Larson.

Funeral will be 11 am Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Worthington, officiated by Pastor Mark Schreiber. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday. A private family committal service at Worthington Memorial Gardens Cemetery will follow the reception.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
