Survived by Beverly, loving wife of 67 years. Eight children, Jim, Pat (Steve Chlebeck), Mike, Kathy (Pat Horwath), Margaret (John Larson), Tim (Laurie), Don (Jeanne), Pete (Andrea). Twenty grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.

Further survived by siblings Jerry (Rose), Anna Mae Marshall, Bill (Diane), Colleen (George Lindberg), Mary Weldon, Rita (Ray Hegel); sisters-in-law, Bev Barrett, Mary Barrett; many nieces and nephews. Cretin graduate 1949. While in the Navy he married Beverly Thoele in 1951.

He was an Operating Engineer for Hamms Brewery for 22 years, then 16 years as an officer of Operating Engineers Local 36 & 70, a member for 68 years. In 1980 Erv was ordained a permanent deacon and served St. Thomas the Apostle in St. Paul for 21 years. Visitation Wednesday 4-7 pm at the Marian Care Center, 200 E Earl St., St. Paul.

Mass of Christian Burial Thursday Church of Holy Spirit 515 S Albert st, St. Paul. Visitation 9:30, mass 10:30, lunch after. Internment Ft.

Snelling National Cemetery 10 AM Friday January 25th. Memorials preferred: Marian Center St. Paul or Habitat for Humanity.
