She was born January 31, 1927, to Harrison Willis Montgomery and Loney Maud Platt in Winkler, Texas. Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, May 9 , 2019, Cornerstone Community Church, Springtown, Texas Visitation: May 9, 2019, 12-2:00 PM, Cornerstone Community Church, Springtown, Texas Interment: Springtown Cemetery Pauline moved to Springtown in 1936 and graduated from Springtown High School in 1945.

She was a longtime member of Cornerstone Community Church. She was a self-employed cosmetologist for 22 years in Springtown. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Edward Layne; brothers, Vivian H. Montgomery and Joel E. Montgomery and sister, Brenda McGee.

Survivors include her son, Dan Layne (Glenda); daughter, Paula Martin (Joe); and brother, Carrol Montgomery (Sue); 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
