OBITUARY Ethel Geneva Crump February 3, 1931 – January 20, 2019 Ethel Geneva Crump, of St. Charles, MO, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 20, 2019, at the age of 87, surrounded by her loving family. Ethel was born in Elvins, Missouri on February 3, 1931 to Simon and Ollie Smith, who preceded her in death. Ethel married her husband, Ivan M. Crump, on October 10, 1953.

Ethel and Ivan were blessed with more than 52 wonderful years of marriage before his passing on February 14, 2006. Ethel was the devoted and proud mother of Larry (Gail) Crump, the late Albert (Debbie) Crump, Teresa (John) Meyer, Terry (Sue) Crump, Brenda Ritchey, Randy (Patty) Crump, and Roger (Vicki) Crump; loving grandmother of 25 grandchildren; treasured great grandmother of 43 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; and dear sister of the late Ruth Romigh, the late Betty Reeves, and the late Leroy Smith. She is also survived by her furry faithful companion, Sandy, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Ethel and her husband, Ivan, were long-time, active members of First Baptist Church Harvester. She was strong in her faith and loved the Lord. Ethel was a strong woman who could endure a lot without complaint.

She also loved her family with all of her might. She was devoted to her husband, her children, and her grandchildren, always putting their needs and wants ahead of her own. In Ethel’s free time, she enjoyed cooking & baking for her loved ones, working in her yard, watching the Hallmark channel, and completing word search puzzles.

Ethel will be remembered as a strong, faithful, and loving lady who was very down to earth and treasured every moment spent with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Memorial donations may be made in Ethel’s name to Vitas Hospice or the St. Louis Breast Cancer Coalition.
