OBITUARY Ethel L. Allen June 20, 1925 – October 13, 2018 Mrs. Ethel L. Allen, age 93, resident of Salem, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at her daughter’s residence. Graveside services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 17,2018, 3 p.m. with Reverend Sam Allen officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, Alabama. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. till 2:30 p.m. Mrs. Allen, daughter of the late Ben and Lee Gosa, was born June 20, 1925 in Marion County, Georgia.

She worked faithfully for over 45 years at Riles Heating and Air until she retired. Mrs. Allen was Baptist by faith; loved her family; enjoyed maintaining flowers in her yard; reading; and crossword puzzles. She was a very organized and independent lady.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband James “Jimmy” T. Allen; and two daughters, Sandra Diane Riles and Linda Dale Special. She is survived by one daughter, Janice Riles and her husband Jerry of Salem, Alabama; two brothers, Charles Terry and Gene Terry; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. FAMILY Ben Gosa, Father Lee Gosa, Mother James “Jimmy” T. Allen, Husband Sandra Diane Riles, Daughter Linda Dale Special, Daughter Janice (Jerry) Riles, Daughter Charles Terry, Brother Gene Terry, Brother Mrs. Allen also leave eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren to cherish her memory.
