Eugene (Gene) A. Marchetti, 91, passed away on September 18, 2018 in his home in Mesquite, NV. Gene was born on October 17, 1926 in Chicago, IL. He served in the United States Navy during WWII, from 1943 to 1945.

He lived and worked most of his life in Chicago and was a small business owner of fuel oil delivery and also a tavern owner. Gene moved to Spring Creek, NV in 1997 and then to Mesquite, NV in May 2003. He married Margaret Groboski in 1948, had four children with her; she passed away in 1973.

He then married Gloria Borst Rimmer in 1969, they had one child; she passed away in 2012. He was married to Laverne Clinton in 2000; she recently passed away on August 29, 2018. Gene is survived by his children; Eugene A. Marchetti Jr. of Owens Cross Roads, AL, Joyce A. Marchetti of Mesquite, NV, Robert F. Marchetti of Fresno, CA, William E. Marchetti of Hollister, CA, and Carla J. Marchetti of Olathe, KS; his thirteen grandchildren, his twelve great-grandchildren, his sister; Maggie Lovino Wisnewski, and his brother; Dominic Lovino.

Gene was preceded in death by his mother, Dominica, his sisters; Mary Villani, Caroline Villani, and Stella Lovino Bolda, and his brothers; Steve Lovino, Larry Lovino, Joe Villani and Al Adducci. There are many extended family members from his family and those of his wife Laverne that remain. Gene will be laid to rest in Schererville, Indiana, Chapel Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
