Eugene Ernest Young, 85, passed away on March 10, 2019 in Mesquite, NV. Eugene was born on June 7, 1933 in Chicago, IL to Arthur N. Young Sr. And Mable Ruth Mortensen. He married Gayle Steed in Las Vegas, NV on January 1, 1982.

Eugene loved to be in the outdoors. He was often hunting, fishing, or boating. He and Gayle spent many years raising and training show horses, and would often go horseback riding and camping.

He was a simple man that worked hard to provide for his family. He owned his own auto shop, and worked as a mechanic for many years. He loved his family, and showed it often.

You would know if he liked you or not, and he loved to harass his grandkids. He is survived by his wife; Gayle Young, his children; Mike Young, Barbara (Scott) Young, Debra Young, Mark Young, and Tom (Carletta) Young, his stepchildren; Mychal McEwen and Christine Anglin, his nine grandchildren, and his five great-grandchildren. Eugene is preceded in death by his parents, his brother and two sisters, and his daughter; Theresa Young.
